Although he has been buying and selling vintage items in New York for over 20 years, he has been interested in menswear design since before that. I studied menswear at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in New York, and at the same time I started full-scale activities as a vintage dealer to raise school expenses. By the time I graduated from FIT, I was immersed in the vintage industry and started collecting archives that would serve as reference materials for my current brand.

The purpose of John Gluckow's Strongarm Clothing & Supply Co is to build on the deep history of American functional clothing design such as workwear, military, sportswear, etc., and to create highly fashionable clothing that does not look like a replica or costume even when worn on the street. To send menswear out into the world.

John Gluckow has two collections each year, each with its own concept or theme, as well as a year-round line of timeless classics.
